I chose AND Academy as our training partner because my design team needed formal, structured upskilling ,something a founder can’t sustainably provide alone. AND Academy listened closely to my goals and built a programme that fit our requirements and ways of working. The sessions were clear, well-sequenced and aligned with current market practice, helping my designers build a stronger foundation and a shared language for collaboration. I’ve already seen improvements in how they communicate, take feedback on board and approach complex problems. What I value most is the balance of rigour and practicality: the training is directly applicable to the work on our desks today. I used to pick colours in different ways for company designs and reports. AND Academy taught me a simple, reliable system to build palettes by creating tints, tones and shades with white, grey and black. It sounds basic, but it changed how I work. My colour choices are now deliberate, consistent and easier to explain, and our reports look cleaner as a result.

I didn’t go to design school, so AND Academy filled the gaps I’d been working around, especially design principles and practical colour. Even with a tight schedule, I’ve been able to apply what I learnt straight away to this season’s projects. My layouts are cleaner, my palettes more consistent, and my decisions easier to explain. Exactly the foundation I needed.

My design process was based on instinct and I didn’t know the proper terms for what I was doing. AND Academy changed that. The training gave me the language and structure to explain my decisions, so feedback and briefs are clearer. The typography sessions were the standout on hierarchy, spacing, pairing, and applying type across layouts. My designs are cleaner and easier to read. Genuinely useful day to day.
