  What type of Interior Design courses does AND Academy offer? Which is best for me?

  Our part-time Diploma/Certificate in Interior Designing is specially designed for working professionals who wish to learn alongside their current jobs. Online classes are held twice a week, during the evening. You start with a 6-month Certificate course, with over 110+ hours of live interactive learning, that introduces you to the fundamentals of Interior Design. By continuing for another 6 months you can graduate with a Diploma. This will give you an opportunity to further your learning in the domain of Interior Design and enable you to take on a broader variety of projects.

  Do I need prior knowledge/experience in design to enrol in the online interior design course?

  Prior knowledge and experience in the design field are not mandatory for admission. However, a background in design or related fields is an advantage.

  I can’t draw very well. Does that matter?

  Absolutely not. As an interior designer, your initial task will include creating simple doodles and rough sketches of your ideas. Anyone who knows how to hold a pencil can do that! You are not expected to create illustrations or artistic masterpieces.

  What interior design software will I learn?

  During the Interior Design Certificate course, you learn Coohom, which is floor planning software that allows you to create 3-dimensional high-quality interior renders of space. This works best at both a beginner and intermediate level. As part of the Diploma course, you additionally learn CAD to learn how to make technical working drawings, these drawing sets are further used to calculate the bill of materials and quantities. Our Software track provides easy-to-follow industry-standard video tutorials enabling you to learn the software in your own time.   Will I get an Interior Design certification upon completion of the online course?

  What if I don’t complete the interior design course due to an unforeseen circumstance?

  If you are not in a position to continue with the interior design course due to personal necessities, then you can pause the course and resume your learning by joining the next batch from the same point where you paused.

  Are there any age limitations to applying for the online interior design course at AND?

  There is no age limit for entry. However, the programme is most suitable for those who are at an early stage in their career with an experience range of zero to five years. If you have more work experience, we encourage you to get in touch with the admissions team for consultation, who will evaluate your profile and advise you accordingly.

  What are the eligibility criteria for admission to the interior design courses?

  Your interest in learning and passion for interior design are the most essential criteria for admission. There is no essential prerequisite skill set, nor is it necessary to have prior qualification or work experience in design.
  
  For the part-time Diploma and Certificate courses in Interior Design, you should have successfully completed Class XII.
  
  Remote learning at AND requires basic digital literacy, so you should be comfortable with word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and internet browsing. Proficiency in English is necessary for both written and verbal communication.

  I don't have an undergraduate degree. Can I still be considered for admission?

  Yes. While most of our participants have undergraduate and/or advanced degrees, this is not compulsory for admission. Please contact our counsellors to check your eligibility for specific courses.

  Can I attend a demo class before enrolling in the online interior design course?

  Candidates who have submitted their application form can join an ongoing class as an observer to witness the AND way of learning. This is a good way for you to understand the unique learning experience that we create for our learners.

  What extra costs can I expect while studying?

  You need a computer with a mic and camera for live sessions and work on interior design software for project work. Basic stationery like sketchbooks and pens is also required. For CAD, a licensed copy is recommended, but a free subscription is sufficient for learning.
  
  Upon enrollment, we will share our recommendation for the system configuration of a computer as well as a list of supplies you will need.
