It is an irrational number with a value of 1.618 that is derived by calculating the ratio of two numbers. The golden ratio is represented by the Greek symbol \u03d5, called \u2018Phi\u2019.\n<\/p>\n<p>The golden ratio in design is used to ensure balance and visual appeal. Incorporating the golden ratio results in harmonious and proportioned designs and is especially used in creating logos.\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Not to be confused with<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"not_confuse\">\n<div class=\"card-box\">\n<div class=\"glo-box hovercard\">\n<p><strong>Fibonacci Sequence <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nIt is a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"card-box\">\n<div class=\"glo-box hovercard\">\n<p><strong>Rule of Thirds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nIn this rule, a design is divided into a grid of nine with the focal point placed along the intersections.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Golden Ratio Formula<\/h2>\n<p>The golden ratio is an important <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andacademy.com\/resources\/blog\/ui-ux-design\/what-is-ui-ux-design-the-complete-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UI UX<\/a> concept as it impacts the user perception of a design. To calculate the golden ratio of a design, you divide a line segment into two smaller parts. The longer part (a), divided by the smaller part (b) should equal the sum of (a) and (b) divided by (a).
