Backsplash refers to the panel behind a sink or a stove. It is an extension of the countertop and covers the wall between the kitchen counter and upper cabinets. It can be of any material, texture<\/a>, or color.\n<\/p>\n

In kitchen interior design<\/a> a backsplash acts as a barrier that protects the walls from damage. It is also often used to add more personality to the kitchen. One can explore a variety of materials for a backsplash such as tile, metal, porcelain, glass, wood, natural stone, etc.\n<\/p>\n

Uses of Backsplash Tile for Kitchen<\/h2>\n

Backsplash in interior design<\/a> is an important part of designing a kitchen. It is typically placed behind a stove or sink. Despite it not being the most prominent part of the kitchen, a backsplash can attract attention and serve as a focal point. It has an aesthetic purpose and is known for increasing the home value and reducing the costs of painting.\n<\/p>\n

A backsplash is easy to install and replace when damaged. It protects the walls from damage caused by grease, splatters, etc. It is also useful in preventing cracks and yellowing caused by water and plumbing issues.<\/p>\n

Backsplash vs Splashback<\/h2>\n

A backsplash and a splashback are the same things. They both are protective layers on the walls that extend from the countertop to the top of the kitchen. The only difference between the two is in the terminology based on regions. The term \u2018\u2018backsplash” is more common in the United States whereas the term “splashback” is more common in the United Kingdom.\n<\/p>\n
