Over time, this system has become crucial for businesses across industries to maintain brand consistency by using similar colors.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Pantone Matching System (PMS) works by giving each color a unique number. Designers can use these numbers to ensure they are using the same colors. It uses specific formulas to identify colors and give each of them a unique number. Pantone colors help with brand consistency and efficient color matching.<\/p>\n<p>Pantone also releases \u2018Pantone Color of the Year\u2019 that reflects the trends of that particular year. In addition to this, they have different systems to cater to different industries, such as fashion, home interiors, etc.<\/p>\n<h2>Pantone vs CMYK vs RGB<\/h2>\n<p>Pantone, CYMK, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andacademy.com\/resources\/glossary\/graphic-design\/rgb-color-model\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RGB<\/a> are all different color models and systems, used for varied reasons. Pantone is a standardized color-matching system used to ensure the production of the exact color.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.andacademy.com\/resources\/glossary\/graphic-design\/cmyk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CYMK<\/a> is a color model used primarily for printing, while RGB is used for digital displays. RGB is an additive model, whereas CYMK is a subtractive model.
