Bleed refers to the extra space around the edges of a design that goes beyond the final cut size. It ensures colors and images reach the very edge of printed materials. Designers add a bleed to prevent white edges that can appear when the paper is cut.<\/p>\n

Bleed is important in graphic design for business cards, brochures, posters, and books. Professional printers require bleed to create clean, finished products. Without proper bleed, your printed design may have unwanted white strips along the edges.<\/p>\n
