      What is UI UX Design?

      UI and UX stand for User Interface and User Experience design. UX focuses on creating a human-first experience for users, while UI deals with the aesthetic and interactive aspects of products or services. Both fields are not limited to digital mediums, but the demand for tech-based interactions has increased digital employment. Common job profiles include Interaction Designer, UX Researcher, Product Designer, and UI UX Designer.

      What is the difference between UI and UX?

      User Interface designers create interfaces while focusing on aesthetics, whereas User Experience designers focus on creating intuitive and delightful user journeys. UI is a subset of UX and takes care of color palettes, visual graphics, style, etc.; UX offers design solutions and develops the user journey.       Do I need prior knowledge/experience in design?

      It is not mandatory to have any prior knowledge or experience in the field of design. However, being from the design field or an allied one would be an advantage.

      How will I learn UI UX Design online?

      What are the class timings?

      Live sessions for the part-time courses are held twice a week in the evenings. This makes it convenient for students to work and learn at the same time.

      What is the medium of instruction?

      The medium of instruction for both written and verbal communication will be English. A basic understanding of written and spoken English is necessary to pursue the course.

      What is the faculty-to-student ratio?

      Each batch has a maximum of 25-30 students in order to ensure a personalized learning experience.

      What design software will I learn?

      During the course, you will learn Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Figma to execute design outcomes. You will learn these through a combination of video tutorials and weekly live support sessions.

      Will I get a certification on completion of the course?

      Yes, upon successful completion of your course, you will be awarded a Certificate / Advanced Certificate award.

      What if I don’t complete the course due to an unforeseen circumstance?

      Learners who are unable to continue learning for any reason can temporarily pause their course and resume in the next batch from the same point.

      Who are the mentors/instructors and how are they selected?

      The mentors and instructors at AND are distinguished experts who include design practitioners, seasoned academicians and industry leaders. All mentors are selected after taking into account key factors such as their subject matter expertise, educational background, industry experience and teaching philosophy.       Can I work full-time while studying?

      Absolutely. The part-time courses at AND are designed to suit the needs of working professionals. All classes are conducted in the evening, allowing you the opportunity to work and learn together. You are expected to dedicate 12 hours every week towards the course, including live classes, assignments and project work on the one hand, and self-study on the other.

      Are there any age limitations to applying for a UI UX Design course at AND?

      There is no age limit for admission to our UI UX Design courses. However, the courses are best suited for individuals who are in the early stages of their careers, or looking to make a career switch to UI UX Design. If you have more extensive work experience, we encourage you to reach out to a Course Advisor for an online consultation, by filling the Enquiry form on the website. They will assess your profile and provide guidance based on your specific background.

      What is the eligibility for the UI UX Design courses?

      Our courses are ideally suited for graduates and working professionals, but you may apply for a course if you have completed high school, and are pursuing a course in English. Since the courses are taught online, basic digital literacy and access to an individual laptop are also necessary.

      Other than these, there are no other prerequisites to enrol in our UI UX Design courses. In particular, there is no requirement to have prior design education or work experience.


      03.

      What kind of IT support is available to students

      We offer IT assistance throughout the course to help resolve any issues that you may face with the digital platforms we use during the course.

      What is the admission process for the UI UX Design courses?

      The admission process is as follows:

      Will you provide feedback on an unsuccessful application?

      As a result of the high volume of applications that we receive for each enrollment period and the confidentiality of the deliberations of the Admissions Committee, we are unable to provide individual detailed feedback on unsuccessful applications.

      I don't have an undergraduate degree. Can I still be considered for admission?

      Yes. While the majority of our learners do hold undergraduate and/or advanced degrees, it is not mandatory to have completed your undergraduates degree before applying for our course.
