      What will I learn in the PG Diploma in Interior Design?

      The curriculum covers the complete interior design process, from design fundamentals, spatial planning, furniture design, materials and finishes, to residential and commercial interiors. You'll learn how to create functional and aesthetically engaging spaces while developing technical skills in drafting, visualisation, client communication, and project execution. You will also learn industry-relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Coohom and AI tools that support interior design workflows. In addition, you'll receive professional and career training, complete a capstone project or dissertation, and graduate with a portfolio that showcases your design capabilities.

      How long is the programme?

      The PG Diploma in Interior Design is a 1-year programme. Classes run three days a week — Saturdays at the UDIT campus in Gurgaon, and twice a week online, typically from 7 to 10 pm.

      How are the classes conducted?

      The programme follows a hybrid format. Saturday classes take place in person at the UDIT campus. Weekday sessions are conducted live online and include interactive discussions, design critiques, software training, studio projects, and personalised mentor feedback. Recorded sessions are available for revision.

      Do I need prior design experience?

      No prior design or software experience is required. The programme starts with the fundamentals and gradually builds towards professional-level interior design practice. The only requirement is a UGC-recognised bachelor's degree from any discipline.


      05. 

      Which software tools will I learn?

      You will learn AutoCAD, SketchUp, Coohom, Miro, and AI-powered tools relevant to interior design workflows and visualisation.


      06. 

      What if I need to pause my studies?

      You can defer your admission to a later batch and resume the programme from where you left off.


      07. 

      What is the class size?

      We maintain small class sizes of 30–35 students to ensure personalised mentorship, project feedback, and meaningful classroom interaction.

      Do I need to be good at drawing?

      No. While sketching can help communicate ideas, interior design relies on design thinking, spatial understanding, and technical tools. Strong drawing skills are not a prerequisite.
