Gamification

Gamification refers to the act of adding game-like elements in a non-game environment. It is a powerful tool that aims to increase interactivity and engagement. Leaderboards, badges, quizzes, and trivia are some examples of how gamification is integrated into a product’s user experience.

Gamification includes fun elements in apps or web pages that offer incentives to the users to engage with a product. However, gamification is a tricky aspect as it requires a designer to understand and fulfill the intrinsic motivational needs of the users.
