Accent Wall

An accent wall refers to a distinct wall with a different color, texture, or pattern in comparison to the other walls in a room. The purpose of an accent wall is to break the monotony and add more visual interest to a room.

Accent walls are basically highlighted walls with a distinct identifying feature for subtle visual emphasis. Many interior designers use accent walls to give the illusion of a larger space. It is a dominant feature that can improve the overall interior design style of a room. However, if not done correctly, it can make a room feel cluttered and confusing.
