Ottoman

Ottoman refers to a low, upholstered stool that is used in various ways. In interior design, it can be used as a footrest, extra seating, and sometimes even a table. Ottomans are generally characterized by a padded top. They do not have any back or arms for support and are often sold with other furniture pieces as an accompaniment. Ways to Decorate with an Ottoman Sofa or Chair

Ottomans are versatile and can be used as functional and aesthetic pieces of furniture. Here are some ways in which you can decorate your rooms using one.

  • Ottoman with Storage - A lot of ottomans have hollow spaces with a lid. You can use this space to store pillows, blankets, etc. for a neat-looking room.
  • Use trays - You can place a serving tray on top of the ottoman to give it a stylish, functional look.
  • Layer decor pieces - You can put a tray on the ottoman and layer it with various decor pieces such as books, vases, candles, etc.
  • Add a blanket - You can add a throw blanket to your ottoman for a chic look.
  • Use a Footrest - You can use your ottoman as a footrest by placing it with a sofa or armchair.
  • Use it to Add Color - Ottomans can be a great way to add a pop of color and visual interest to your room. Think: a colorful ottoman in a neutral room.
